Product Description Auragin FAQ Ginseng FAQ

What is Auragin?

Auragin is a premium-quality, natural Korean red ginseng supplement.

We start with the highest-quality six-year-grown Korean ginseng roots, and preserve them using a traditional process of repeat steaming and drying—the same method that has been used in Korea for over a thousand years.

The whole roots are then ground into powder and pressed into tablets, delivering the full benefits of Korean red ginseng in the convenience of a tablet.

Product Description:

  • Grown in Korea for 6 years before harvesting
  • High ginsenoside content—Auragin contains 8% ginsenosides. (Ginsenosides are the main active compounds in ginseng responsible for its health benefits).
  • Not an extract—the whole root is ground into powder and compressed into tablets, delivering the full benefits of Korean red ginseng
  • No additives or preservatives—each tablet contains 100% Korean red ginseng

Dosage Information:

  • Serving Size: 3 tablets per serving
  • Servings Per Bottle: 30 servings (90 tablets per bottle)
  • Directions: Take three (3) tablets daily for the ongoing health benefits of Korean red ginseng. Take up to six (6) tablets per day for an even stronger effect.

Warning: If you are pregnant or nursing, are taking any medications, or have any medical condition, consult your doctor before use. Not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18.

Why Auragin?

100% ginseng.

Some other brands put a mixture of other herbs and ingredients in their supplement to cut costs, since high-quality ginseng roots are expensive. Auragin has only one ingredient—6-year Korean red ginseng roots.

Minimal processing.

We simply take whole red ginseng roots, grind them into powder, and press the powder into tablets. No funny business.

Since we use the same traditional preservation process that has been used for the past 1,000 years in Korea, no artificial preservatives are necessary to maintain freshness.

Furthermore, we believe the maximum health benefits of ginseng are derived from using the root as it exists in nature, so we make sure the whole root makes its way into each tablet of Auragin.

Ridiculously High Quality

Ginseng's health benefits are mainly due to components called ginsenosides. Auragin contains 8% total ginsenosides—that's 2 to 26 times as high as most other brands on the market, and even higher than most "extracts", which use additional processing to artificially increase the ginsenoside content.

How is our ginsenoside content so much higher? Simple—we start with only the highest-quality roots.

Ginsenoside content is affected by various factors including the age of the roots, soil quality, altitude, and climate. For that reason, two different farms in Korea can produce ginseng with drastically different levels of ginsenosides.

All our roots are grown for at least 6 years before harvesting. We select only the roots that have an average ginsenoside content of 8% or greater, and don’t use lower quality roots. Very few brands show this level of attention to ginsenoside content and selectiveness when choosing roots to produce their product.

As you can see, we take our ginseng seriously. But don't take our word for it—try it for yourself. We think you'll notice the difference.

How do I take Auragin?

Since the benefits of ginseng come from long-term daily use, Auragin is meant to be taken every day.

Start by taking 3 tablets per day. Over time, if you want a stronger effect, you can increase the dosage to 6 tablets per day. Some people see good results from taking 3 tablets per day, while others prefer to take 6—experiment and see what works best for you!

What do people take Auragin for?

We try not to focus on health claims in our marketing. Instead, we trust our customers to do their own research, and we simply focus on bringing you the highest quality ginseng available.

But based on customer feedback, the two main reasons our customers report taking ginseng for are 1) energy and focus, and 2) sexual performance. A smaller percentage report taking it for its benefits to the immune system and mental function.

If you're interested in the research that has been done on the various benefits of ginseng, one of the better overviews we've found is on the University of Maryland Medical Center's website.

How long will it take to feel the effects?

It varies from person to person. A lot of people notice a boost in focus and energy immediately, while for others it can take a month or two of consistent daily use to notice a difference.

In general, the effects of ginseng build up over time, so the effects are more noticeable after a month or two of use. For example, in one study on fatigue, a greater improvement was noticed after 8 weeks of treatment than after 4 weeks of treatment.

What if I don't notice any effects from Auragin?

A small percentage of people seem to not notice the effects of ginseng at all. For that reason, we have an unrivaled 1-year satisfaction guarantee.

So if you're not happy with Auragin for any reason, contact us at support@auraginhealth.com and let us know why, and we'll issue you a full refund on your first bottle—you don't even need to return the bottle!

However, please note that the benefits of ginseng come from long-term daily use. So we recommend giving it a try for at least a month or two before deciding ginseng isn't for you.

Also note that increased energy and alertness are just one of the many benefits of ginseng—so even if you're one of the few who doesn't notice a difference in focus and energy, you'll still be receiving the many other benefits of taking Korean red ginseng.

Do I need to "cycle" Auragin, or can I take it continuously?

Several American websites claim that ginseng needs to be cycled, and that it should not be taken continuously. However, we are not aware of any scientific or traditional basis for this claim.

We have looked through the scientific literature, and can't find any evidence that cycling is either necessary nor beneficial.

In Korea, most people do take ginseng long-term without cycling, and many studies have looked at the long term benefits of daily ginseng use over the course of several months or years. Our co-founders have both been taking Auragin daily for the past 3 years, and still swear by it!

So if anyone can link us to a scientific paper explaining where this recommendation comes from, we would love to see it! But until then, without any evidence supporting it, we do not see any need to cycle ginseng.

What time of day should I take Auragin? Can I take it at night?

Most people prefer taking it in the morning for an energy boost that lasts throughout the day. However, you can take Auragin at any time of day you prefer.

For most people, ginseng should not interfere with sleep even when taken later in the day (except when taken in very high doses). Interestingly enough, some studies have even reported improved sleep quality from taking ginseng.

Should I take the tablets all at once, or spread them out throughout the day?

It's a matter of personal preference. However, a few customers who have tried both reported a stronger effect from taking 6 tablets at once, vs taking 3 in the morning and 3 in the afternoon.

If you do experiment with both, we'd love to hear about your results!

Can I take Auragin with coffee or caffeine?

Yes, many people prefer to take Auragin with their morning coffee.

Does Auragin contain gelatin? Is Auragin vegetarian/vegan friendly?

Auragin does not contain any gelatin, and is vegetarian and vegan friendly.

Auragin is simply made from 100% Korean red ginseng root, with no additives, preservatives, or other ingredients. The roots are preserved using a traditional process of steaming and drying, ground into powder, and then the powder is compressed into tablets.

Since Auragin is not a capsule, it does not contain any gelatin (or any other filler ingredients for that matter), and safe for vegetarians and vegans to consume.

What are the effects of ginseng?

We try not to focus on health claims in our marketing. One of the better overviews of the scientific studies that have been done on ginseng is on the University of Maryland Medical Center's website.

The benefits they list include: immune benefits, heart health, mental performance, physical endurance, stress and well-being, and fertility / erectile disfunction, among other things.

What are ginsenosides?

Ginsenosides are the main components in ginseng responsible for its health benefits.

More than 100 different ginsenosides have been identified, and their levels vary between different ginseng roots depending on factors like the age of the roots, climate, altitude, and soil conditions.

Different ginsenosides have different effects on the body, and some ginsenosides even seem to have directly opposing effects. This may be why some studies have found ginseng lowered blood pressure, while others found that it raised blood pressure—certain ginsenosides may have the effect of raising blood pressure, while others may lower it.

This is one of the reasons our philosophy is to use high-quality roots in their natural state with minimal processing. Processing (such as producing a ginseng extract) changes the ratio between different ginsenosides.

Since not enough research has been done to what ratios of ginsenosides is optimal, we believe high-quality roots in their natural form have the proper ratio of ginsenosides, so we preserve that natural ratio in the final product.

What is "red" ginseng?

"Red" ginseng refers to ginseng that has undergone a traditional Korean process of repeat steaming and drying, which turns it a reddish-brown color.

Traditionally this was done to preserve the ginseng, but recent studies have shown it actually raises the level of certain ginsenosides that make it more beneficial for certain purposes.

How is red ginseng different from white ginseng?

"White" ginseng refers to ginseng that has been preserved by peeling off the outer layers and sun-drying. Because the ginseng is peeled, white ginseng loses some of the potentially beneficial nutrients in the skin.

Due to the difference in processing, the two types of ginseng have different ginsenoside compositions. Red ginseng is generally considered more stimulating and energizing whereas white ginseng is more calming.

What is the difference between Korean, Chinese, American, and Siberian ginseng?

Korean and Chinese ginseng are the same species of plant, Panax Ginseng, grown in different regions. American ginseng, Panax quinquefolius, is a different type of ginseng. What is commonly called "Siberian ginseng", Eleutherococcus senticosus, is actually a completely different plant and does not have the same active ingredients.
